Paris-based brand Carne Bollente and provocative non-profit Tom of Finland Foundation have teamed up for their second collaboration: a capsule collection bringing together Tom of Finland’s iconic homoerotic artwork and Carne Bollente’s bold and sexually explicit designs. The collection features everyday closet essentials including T-shirts, sweatshirts, and accessories, but adorned with Tom of Finland’s erotic illustrations.
Carne Bollente, founded in 2014 by Theodore Famery, Julia Dessirier, and Hijiri Endo, aims to challenge societal taboos surrounding sexuality and promote sex positivity through unique and playful designs. On a similar mission, Tom of Finland Foundation (ToFF) was established by Durk Dehner along with his friend Tom, an established artist recognized worldwide for his mastery in homoerotic art. They would later widen their scope to offer a safe haven for all erotic art in response to rampant discrimination against all art portraying sexual behavior. Today, ToFF continues their work of public education promoting the cultural merits of erotic art, and encouraging healthier, more tolerant attitudes about sexuality.
