PLEATSMAMA is a South Korean brand founded by Wang Jong Mi that started in 2017 not only offers standard fashionable items, but also proposes environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. They only use eco-friendly materials from waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles. To create a bag, they used 16 bottles of PET and recycled yarns.
Instead of cutting & sewing fabric pieces, PLEATSMAMA knit the fabric one by one. Focusing not only on the product, they also took extra care to the packaging to minimize impact for the environment.
They also did a collaboration with beauty brand such as innisfree, belif, Round A’Round, the famous coffee shop Blue Bottle, Fujifilm, Hyundai Card, BT21, and more.
